Born in Spain in the 1800s, Silvio was orphaned at an early age and taken into the forests by a werewolf pack who raised him until he was old enough to decide for himself if he would accept the change. This was something he did gladly and he was a proud member of his pack as they roamed the forests of Spain. Largely they kept to themselves but they would aid travelers or nearby villages. All of which changed when hunters believed they were responsible for a string of murders happening.
Hunted down, Silvio tried to protect his family but watched as every member of his pack was murdered. An attempt to save one resulted in silver particles ending up in his eyes, damaging his sight forever. With no family left and no sight as well, he retreated deep into the forest to live alone. Over time he taught himself to use his other senses until it seemed like he could see, an act he used to be able to get supplies if he needed them.
Though humans had hurt him, it never stopped him from helping them when they passed through his forest until he became known as the Guardian Spirit of the forest he lived in. It was a long and lonely life but he lived it all the same since the modern era meant fewer and fewer wanted to live so far away from the city. But that didn't stop him from hoping that one day his isolation might end and someone would wish to stay near his side...
